This navy issue regulation Call, still made for the world's navies, is made of brass and copper with hard-wearing electro-plated nickel finish. Rum Ration Mugs

For over 300 years, the many navies of the world served daily rum rations. The Ship's Purser served sailors from one to six 'tots' of rum, depending on the conditions of war and weather. The rum ration tradition continued until the 1960s. This rum cup measures one-half Gill.. the equivalent of one-eighth of a pint and is marked HMS on the bottom.
